Thank you for the in-depth views of this menagerie of a door. I got too close to a concrete sign post and managed to peel the molding off and put in a shallow smooth dent so I was looking for how much work it is to get close to that dent and push it out with my hand . Unfortunately you did not remove whatever that white thing is on the bottom left of the door where my dent is located. So I will give it a try. 16 year old van so it does not have to look pristine .

I just finished doing mine on my 04. I have three brass screws with spacers left over. I also have leftover a black one, which I am pretty sure I know where it goes and two of the 10mm brass bolts. Do you remember where the three screws with the spacers go? Did you get a quote from a shop to repair this?

Ok. I see them at 21:05. My new kit came with three new screws which explains why I have three leftover. If the driver side goes I am just going to cut the cable and leave it as manual. That was way too complicated. I would say it took me a solid 8 hours. The window bolts fell down into the door cavity and I had to fish them out with a magnet on a coat hook. That probably took an hour and a half, and it happened twice.
