2004 to 2008 F150 air bag light fix

Thanks for the video! I had my instrument cluster out to fix the parking light and resoldered some spots. When I put the cluster back in the airbag light was on. I also had the panel around the radio out which I had to disconnect the airbag light. I watched your video and replaced the panel around the radio and reconnected the airbag light. When I restarted the truck the airbag light was OFF. THANKS AGAIN

It probably is important to leave the battery disconnected at least 15 minutes before doing the work. The airbags and seatbelt tensioners operate so quickly because a capacitor is engaged and two chemicals mix in the bags. Disconnecting the battery drains the capacitor so that this cannot happen. Nice video. thank you.

Yes it is, that’s the dash warning alarm to bring your attention to the dash to see what’s wrong.

Both my airbag light have been in for months. I wonder if it’s this sensor I actually took it off and cleaned the bolt and connections. And same thing. Sensor is still in good shape

One thing you can do before you change anything out is go to your local auto parts store and they can scan the air bag light for you for free. And at least give you a step in the right direction

So I tested my old one and it was bad. No ohm resistance. The new one has resistance but the air bag light is still on. Did your light go off automatically or did you have to clear it with a scanner? Thanks.

Mine cleared after I disconnected the battery. I think you may have to use a scanner or disconnect the ground cable and it should clear

None, all you have to do is replace the impact sensor or if you know your seat sensors are bad or the light is bad, replace them with the battery in hooked and then hook it back up and it will reset the light. I hope this helps you out. If it does please subscribe! I would appreciate it

272-1141 is the closest i can find for the bulb. But its discontinued. Cant find it. Anybody have a better solution?

That passenger airbag was disabled lmao it literally has a light on the dash showing it’s disabled

That’s because there’s no weight on the seat, all these does have that light, my 08 edge does too. If there’s no weight detected on the seat it illuminates the Passenger airbag disabled light.
