This is tour of my wife’s 2004 Toyota Camry that we bought on Craigslist a few months ago. This car is equipped with 2.4 litre 2AZ-FE engine, which made about 157 horse power at 5,600 RPM (when the car was new). So far we're extremely happy with the car, and were thrilled to find an affordable used car with the lack of inventory on the market. Let me know if you have any questions!

I bought a 2003 Camry LE just yesterday with 87,359k on the odometer. It is a one owner car from Florida and has every service record since the date of purchase. It's light blue with tan interior and very clean inside and out. The paint isn't faded at all and still looks brand new. It looks to have been garage kept, and everything works as its supposed to. The 2.4 liter engine runs very smooth and quiet and is clean as a pin. The automatic transmission feels strong and shifts out really smooth, and it has new tires on it as well. The entire car looks, runs, and drives like new even though its twenty years old! It came with a two year warranty that covers the engine, drive train, electrical, and a lot more, but I still hesitated to pay $9k for a 20 year old car. I'm glad I did though because this thing is practically new! From what I've seen Toyota Camry's are known to be good for over 200k miles with only routine maintenance / servicing. Thanks for sharing this video!

I have a 2004 Camry LE, bought new, for $20,150. with only 71,000 miles on it! It has never broken down or been in an accident & still runs great! My only complaint is that chips in the paint of the hood are appearing & the sun damaged the radio speaker covers! My advice is if you want to keep a car looking new, never let anyone eat or drink inside the vehicle! At 77, I hope to keep it until I stop driving! Great car!

Hey man just came across this video, I got a 2002 Camry with a engine swap to v6. The story behind it is that it had a inline 4 before but previous owner did a oil change at some sketchy place and they drained the oil but didn't replace it, soo the engine ran without oil and eventually ended up broken. I have modified my cat a bit put a cold air intake and exhaust and the car runs great and surprisingly quick. The older engine lasted around 200k miles but man these are Camry if you just do regular maintainece like oil change, these car would last forever and older cars in general they are build with quality materials.

Sorry to hear that the original engine didn’t make it. I’m not surprised to hear that, as cheap oil change places have been known to cut corners. Even with the V6, your car will last a very long time. I personally find that the older cars have more character than the new ones. Toyota used high quality materials and didn’t make anything too complex.

Am about to purchase one, it's still in mint condition, but am wondering if the v6 engine is any good. I read it takes more gas than the inline 4. I really need advice. The mileage is 130,000

@warrenf5821 3 жыл бұрын
@@Mykelclassic if the price is fair, I would definitely go for it. I don’t think that that the V6 has the longevity of the 4 cylinder, but you also avoid issues with oil burning, which some of these cars have been known to have (not all).

This car will run 1 million miles easily if taken care of. My dads volvo had 2 million miles. The key here is regular maintenance, there’s no car on earth that wouldn’t get at least 300k miles. Have you seen the inside of most people’s car ? Nasty, smelly and filthy, you really think they would have time for the engine.

I would check the tip of your oil dipstick. 1) oil maintenance is critical to the long term success of this engine 2) the plastic tip of our 2004 broke off before we bought it and is floating somewhere in the pan. That, by itself, isn’t bad; the bad part is trying to maintain proper oil level is a bear without a functional dipstick. I wrestled with the oil level in ours for two years before I realized the dipstick was broken. The stock oem stick is plastic. You can buy a metal tip, traditional dipstick for $16 at Napa or auto zone. After we did that, no worries about the car.

I.put 17 on my 03 v6 xle so I could keep some decent sidewalls for smoothness. 225 50 17 tires I hate liw profiles on anything but sports car a camry is sedan and should ride smooth, liw profiles ruin ride.

is the trunk space reasonable? And how rough is the ride for someone about 6 feet tall in the back seat?
@warrenf5821
@warrenf5821 3 жыл бұрын
The trunk is not only reasonable, but one of the roomiest that I’ve seen for a car of this size. You also get a full-sized spare tire, which was a bit of a surprise when my Honda Accord came with a doughnut spare. I was also very impressed with the back seat leg room. I’m about 6’6 and I was able to fit comfortably without any issues. While I don’t think that the backseat is as roomy as some luxury cars, it’s more than enough for most people.

I own 2002 Camry. I am 179cm tall, which I believe is close to 6 feet. The leg room is absolutely sufficient, but I would argue the head room is miserable.

The trunk is massive in these cars. I own 2005 model and I can easily fit 4 full size tires in the trunk. Car is over 18 years old with over 400,000 kms. Toronto Canada.

Hey bro hopefully I can get a quick reply but I know somebody selling this for a grand are these cars really that reliable and it has about 130,00 miles would you recommend this for a 19 year old who usually drives safe and not all fast 😂?
@warrenf5821
@warrenf5821 2 жыл бұрын
Well, ANY car can have problems (and end up costing you), but for $1,000 I would go for it! 130,000 miles is not that much in the big picture, and these cars are very well built. Just keep an eye on the oil levels. Even if it isn’t the most reliable car you ever own that price is really good for one of these!
