2004 Yamaha WR450 Supermoto Wheelies

Testing out my GoPro 3 for the first time, got a few decent wheelies. These are 4th gear power wheelies. The better wheelie starts at 2:25.
2004 WR450 in supermoto trim:
Excel wheels, supermoto front fender, YZ rear fender, Michelin pilot power tires (150/60r17 & 120/70r17), trail tech vapor computer, LED turn signals on hand guards, 4500k HID headlight, DRC edge 2 tail light with integrated turn signals, gray wire mod, o-ring mod, snorkel removed with holes in side cover cut, fmf factory 4.1 slip on, YZ450 exhaust cam, JD jet kit (170 main, 40 leak, 45 pilot, fuel screw 2 turns out), twin air filter, 320mm front brake rotor, YFZ450 front brake master cylinder/lever (for brake switch), geared 14/40 so redlines at about 105 mph.
800-900 feet elevation, 80-90 degree weather here in the summer.

Wicked vid, I have an 04 wr450 only has a fmf q4 muffler and 15/48 gearing and it will power wheelie 4th at around 90km/h and I've Done around 160-165km/h on it, they're awesome bikes

Got a 52t rear sprocket on my 2003 wr and I have no trouble getting the front wheel up in 5th I struggle controlling that heavy beast tho

14/41 is the gear I have used on all my wr450f’s. It will power wheelie every year and top out about 92 mph

Your clutch lever sticks out way farther than your brake lever, why is that? Also what sized guard bars are you using? 22.8" or 28" ? I'm looking for one of these bad boys and doing a shopping list for aftermarket parts.

I'm not sure on the lever difference, I think that's just the way it bike is. Though the brake lever is from a yfz450 quad. I believe they are 22.8 mm, or 7/8", if that is what you're referring to. good luck!

5th gear final transmission is 21/25 (.840) and then sprockets are 14/40 (2.857)

It's been an awesome bike, about to hit 3,000 miles. I change the oil every 500 miles and no problems so far.

Giovanni Sacheli Yes it was rode as a dirt bike a long time before it was converted for the road. Only 3k miles on the road so far. Still runs like new and full of power. I've heard a lot of good things about the wr450 lasting long

Just wondering why you went with a 14/40? Ive got a 05 450F with 15/42 and barely wants to pop a wheelie, unless I clutch it. But you seem to power wheelie so easy, I do see your mods. But could it be your gearing also?
