2005-2009 Subaru Legacy GT Extended Hood Scoop Install

Installing a custom hood scoop on my Subaru Legacy GT for a slightly more aggressive look. This should be similar for similar years Subaru WRX/STI/FXT/OBXT etc. I think it gives a bit more edge to the car without being over the top. What do you think?

I just changed my burnt scoop with a nice one off eBay, thanks for all the help, couldn’t have done it without you. I literally just ripped it off the car like you did 😆, couldn’t figure out that last fastener and how to remove it.

When you remove the 4off 8mm nuts nip the bottom of the middle trim clip with needle nose pliers and the scoop will simply pop off. The slot on the scoop is orientated so that you would need to push the scoop towards the windscreen to remove which is impossible unless you can release the rear if the scoop.

Looks really nice and subtle, I have almost the same car, wonder if that shielding on the hood actually does anything, mine never went on properly ever again!
