2005 Cadillac XLR Roadster Review and Test Drive by Auto Europa Naples

Offered for sale is this gorgeous example of the XLR Roadster from Cadillac, a 2005 model in very good cosmetic and mechanical condition, and a 1-Owner title history. You should see the V-Series version. Some guys swap the automatic for a 7-speed manual out of a C6 Corvette. A roadster should always be manual and either RWD/AWD.

I think this things main flaw is the automatic transmission and the stupid north star engine. They should’ve given it a six or seven-speed manual and a V10 or V12 for smoothness. Maybe even turbocharge it for the V-Series version.

Way to expensive to put a damn V10 or V12, especially to turbo charge one. Besides, the V-series at the time was only supercharged. A 6 speed manual would be nice though.

@SScumbag Early years of the Northstar had issues with headbolts blowing out of the holes. But with a GM repair kit it's easily repairable. Note: Northstar engines 2000+ were corrected and did not have this issue.
