Thank you for the brief lesson. I had to replace the resistor along with wiring a new connector for the resistor because it burned. Now I have AC again.

If I smack the other side of where u are working on what could be the culprit ? The wiring I guess ? Mine is cutting out and I smack the left side of this panel and it begins working again
