2005 Dodge SRT-4 Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour

In this video I give a full in depth tour of a 2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

This car is truly incredible for the price you can pick one up for. You can get one that isn't halfway riced to death for about $5K. 0-60 is 5.2 seconds which is unheard of for a stock car in that price range. It was originally sold for $20K, which is still crazy. Mod the thing a bit and you can easily get under 5 seconds in accel to 60.

I have one of these and the interiors are very comfortable .The plastic parts are soft to the touch and easy to clean.

Jon Morrison I watched one of those "in depth" videos and the guy said that Dodge was discontinuing the car because they wanted to focus on performance vehicles. If so that's a shame, id get rid of my NSRT-4 in a heartbeat for a DSRT-4.

I actually love this car. Did not like them at first, but then after unbiased reading up on them I realized they are great, fast, and cheap. Owned for nearly 3 years now. Next step is a Corvette, GTR, or Evo X. Then the SRT4 will be my project car!

Its technically not called a Neon SRT-4, its just called a Dodge SRT-4. My friend has one and thats what he told me...nice ride. Those bolstered seats are amazing.

I’m not a fan of Dodge’s vehicles, but there are some that I still like. I have grown to like the Dodge SRT-4. Even though it’s a Neon on steroids, it has insane performance for a sport compact and it would make any Civic or Type R owner jealous. Heck, this car can beat a Cobalt SS. The Dodge Caliber SRT-4 on the other hand is basically just a shadow of its predecessor the Dodge SRT-4.

Dyno verified. The AEM model gives around 14WHP and the K&N around 12WHP. The stock one doesn't seem to flow much. Another thing that's big is a turboback exhaust. If you get the MPX one with catback and O2 sensor you get about 35WHP. The stock parts are decent, but with those two and a DSP you can get a pretty huge power boost.

lol.. I didn't have any trouble with the powertrain in mine, and I beat it HARD. Everything else broke. The older Neons had more trouble with headgaskets. I had one of those too.

Owned '05 for several years. Reliable, cheap, fast, great brakes and seats, spacious inside with a big trunk, handles very good for an FWD with poliurethane, thick bar and proper tires. sound is totally bad ass. Has some issues, but easy to address them. Loved that car so much, I "felt" it.Truly American muscle car. My current '12 BMW 135i is a better car overall, but what you get for the $$ is not even close.

It may flow decently, but getting a CAI gives you around 12-13WHP. Big improvement from such a small modification.

I think a lot of people don't like that there aren't power rear windows, but I think they could've did that for weight conservation. Plus, that's just 1 less thing to go wrong, and with a car that great, I doubt you'll even notice.
