2005 FORD FREESTYLE COIL PACKS AND SPARK PLUGS

I just had to do this for a friend of mine. It was a real bitch. I ended up not taking the intake manifold completely out of the car, but rather just angled it forward so I could get to the back plugs and coils so I didn't have remove the cross bar, the engine mounting bracket or the battery housing and it still took me most of the day to complete. The biggest help with this video was knowing the 1 1/16 size wrench I needed to remove the EGR fitting so thanks for that. Helped a great deal. Thanks again bro! 👊

Did you make a video? I just need to replace cylinder 1 and this guy's video removing all kinds of connections and the manifold without actually showing those steps isn't really helpful.

Thanks. I gotta do this too. Probably will replace or check the PCV VALVE, check injectors, etc once you have the Intake off. Wouldn't want to have to go through the same job for that. Appreciate this video. I'm sure it will help many.

You don't Depressurize the fuel system first?? Too bad you don't actually explain what hoses in connections you're removing to get the manifold cover off because that's the hardest part to figure out for those of us trying to do this at home! Thanks for providing the bolt sizes at least.

Is that tube thats connected to the EGR valve .is that right handed or left handed Threaded nut?

i have a 2005 ford freestyle that goes into limp mode at stops if it idles for more than 3 seconds would a new coil pack and spark plugs fix it

It could be a few things. Depending on the mileage. But spark plugs and coil packs would be a good start

Hey, do you happen to know what site the bolts holding down the coil packs are?? As well as length, picked one up and the front bank is missing all the bolts for coil packs

Post to be like 8mm. They might also have 10mm. Machine screws usually

Video was great was able to successfully change but was a huge pain in the ass!! Had to remove the battery box to get the 1 1/16 nut off of the copper line! Def need an extension to for 8mm on manifold

@@j.l.c.g.3593 The coils are from left to right on Bank 1 (firewall side) 1, 2 and 3. On Back 2 (in front) 4, 5 and 6.

So coil 2 would be the middle coil on Bank 1 against the firewall.

Its nice to make a video explaining the process to change the coils and spark plugs but a word of advise, I find that others will learn and agree with your process if your refer to components with the correct name. The intake manifold is not a cover just because it covers up stuff. As well as the EGR tube is not a copper tube just because it's copper colored. Its in fact a heavy steel tube that has been heated and cooled making the color change to a copper or brass like tint. If your going teach, then first learn what the components are calling and refer to them properly as if you know what your talking about.
