2005 Freelander, Replacing Right Front lower suspension arm and CV boot.

Hey man ! Does your ABS sensor read magnetically inside on the CV joint or on rhe wheel bearing - i see it has no ABS ring on the outside of the CV by the rubber boot. I got a CV jount that says fit my car but came with the big ABS ring which i had to take off to fit properly into the wheel house, but it damaged my ABS sensor - goes too far in ! A new sensor won't sit fully in place because of the CV axel being too far forward. Should there be a spacer/washer in the inside or do i gave the wrong CV? Do you possibly have a link to the correct part i need - seems to be the same as yours - older Freelanders had the big ABS ring - mine is 2005 Facelift - thanks - any help appreciated! 🍷😏

Sound's to me you were given the incorrect CV. They do read the wheel speed off the magnetic pick up on the wheel bearing there were changes made with the face-lift models when Ford bought Land Rover/Range Rover. This included better electrics, interior as well as other changes. Unfortunately I don't have a link to the correct CV shaft right now. You are best to always compare parts before fitting if possible, I have been caught out by this myself in the past. Best of luck mate, and thanks for watching.
