If your AC/ heater blower only works in one speed, it could be your blower resistor. Thank you for watching and I hope this video helps you.

FYI this is for the 2.7l engine. The resister on the 3.5 in behind the glove box above and to the right of the cabin air filter. It's the only plug going up there. It's a pain to get out you'll need a really small screw driver or a flexible extension for a drill. Also TEST it out before putting it back together or installing it. Works but its a pain verses the 2.7l that just sits on the bottom. Just watch a video how to change your cabin air filter and you'll be able to see it.

I'm having trouble finding the blower resistor in a 2004 Optima. The part I have is very similar to yours. I think it's in the same place as the one you show here. Either way, thanks for posting.

Can you use a blower resistor from an 03 Hyundai Elantra for an 05 of the same make and model? I got an 03 and put it in but still nothing. The contact on my old resistor was snapped but the junk yard one seemed good and in tact leads.

Try it. If they look the same. It should work.

Did you use an OEM resistor or aftermarket? Just changed mine in an 2008 Hyundai Accent with an aftermarket. The board on the aftermarket one was different (no heat sink side) and larger but it fit. AC is now working on all settings but does not seem to have the force it once had. Seems to be cycling through power as it's blowing. Trying to figure out if it's the resistor of it I need to replace the blower as well. I've had issues using non-OEM on this vehicle. Thank you.

I used the OEM

What if it doesn't work in any speed and all the fuses and relays are good? Could it be the blower itself?
@natethegreat9745 жыл бұрын
It's a possibility but check the resistor firs. It's easy to check.
@wturner7775 жыл бұрын
@@natethegreat974 I may have found the culprit: faulty wiring. I checked the main blower connector and it looks burned out. Or it could be the blower itself.

I'm wondering if your using a mirror because it seems that on my 2008 Elantra GLS I would need to face the screw driver towards me to take it off and use a mirror. I might think I was looking at the wrong thing but it's the only thing I see that looks like that with two (2) screws.

vimzibaiegh Thank you for for your time. I'm not using a mirror.

I have a 2006 Hyunda Santa Fe and the blower motor stopped working a couple of days ago. Nothing I could do with the control switches would work. Then the following morning, I went over a speed bump and it worked perfectly while going to work. Then after work, it seemed to work intermittently while doing some errands and then when I restarted my car to finally go home the motor is completely dead. Also this morning it is also. Could this be a sign of a bad resister? I would assume if it were, it would go out completely. Or how about a bad motor? I would like to test the current coming out of the resister going to the motor but not sure what contacts to check. Any ideas?

It happens to me once before and I was their relay that was not making a good contact I pick it up and put it back again and I never had no problems

I'm gonna see if this is my problem. The heater fan in my 2005 Hyundai Tucson works now & then but then stops for a while. Then does the same thing again like a vicious cycle. It's been quite cold going to work in the morning. I'm learning on how to fix my car without going to a mechanic to save on money.
