I can't speak for the other years but the 2005 Hyundai Elantra's have drum brakes in the rear.

You should remove, clean and regrease the sliding pins. Just made a brakejob where the sliding pins were totally stuck. Had to drill opposite hole and warm the mount red hot then hit it out trough the drill hole.

If the boot around the sliding pin is cracked or torn, then yes you need to re-grease often. On this car they were still in good condition and I didn't see a need to re-grease them. I think the re-greasing of sliding pins is a separate job that may or may not need to be done at the time of changing brake pads.

Nice video! I’m changing my brake pad right now but the brake pads are not sitting evenly on the rotor. One side has a slight gap at the bottom but the top is sitting fine. Any recommendations?

If you can get the caliper over them it should be fine. After putting everything back together you will pump your brakes several times after starting your vehicle. That should fix any gaps between your brake pads and rotors.

do you NEED the wind back tool or can i use a C Clamp? im gonna be doing mine in a few days and am making sure i have everything together
