2001 Mercury Sable LS,......noticed small dripping,....can't tell exactly where,...looks like towards back of reservoir? Before doing all this,.....is it possible maybe snugging two hold down nuts might work? Have you ever stopped a drip this way? Thanks.

Did you need to bleed the brakes after putting the master cylinder on? I've got a 2004 Taurus and replaced the master cylinder but after we bleed the brakes then cranked the engine, I had no pressure when pressing down the brake pedal.

I think I got away without bleeding my brakes and the pedal is firm. I'm wondering if you still have air in your MC or you have a leak somewhere else ? Maybe one of the wheel cylinders is leaking ?

Thanks for the video. Do the brakes need to be bleed after replacing the MC?

Thanks for watching. I did not bleed my brakes immediately and they felt okay. I did bleed them as soon as I could and they felt better. Good idea to flush out the old fluid, it gets "tired" from moisture and rust. If the brakes have ever been hot it's a must.

I have to tackle this too, and your video was very helpful. Good job, and thanks for sharing. P.S. No need for tape on flared brake lines. :)
