This game really highlights why USC was consistently one of the top teams in the 00's. When one thing didn't work, Pete Carroll made adjustments flawlessly. For example, Oklahoma clearly watched a lot of film on Reggie Bush and were prepared for him. But they were unprepared for LenDeale White, who kept chewing up their defense all game, so they kept feeding the ball to White, and ended up cruising to a 55-10 lead before putting the backups in and winning 55-19.

This game was more about the mental breakdown of the OU team than anything else. I remember watching this game with bated breath and seeing that fumble lost by Bradley and knew at that moment that this game was over. marktastic86...that's a tough one, in this game USC was just so much better than Oklahoma. OU had no idea how to stop them. with Alabama and Notre Dame, if you remember, ND Head Coach Brian Kellys interview at halftime when the Irish were down 28-0,they asked him what his game plan was for the 2nd half,he said something like: I just hope Bama doesnt play as well as they did in the 1st half. So they had already thrown in the towel. But, getting completely shut out 21-0 in the National Title Game, like LSU did against Bama is pretty bad, especially when the Tigers were number 1,undefeated at 13-0 and had beaten Bama earlier in the season!
