Avoid this problem by putting your foot on the brake to shift don’t jam it . That’s what that lock on the bottom at 5 o’clock is the release from the right foot brake pedal . Putting a hi gear in the transmission is what I’m fixing for a friend now . 175$ gear .

Hey great vid...do you have the part number for the second part you replaced? You changed the aluminum part to a steel part?

Hey awesome video, question for you mine got stuck in R and the teeth are ground out. I ordered a new shift shaft and I’m wondering is it possible to just twist the shaft to N or what you would have to do?

I had that happen on a dirt bike and it was that easy is all I can say from experience.

Thank you so much!! Tip for anyone doing this job... Only watch this guy's video. There are about 4 different videos of this procedure which are all wrong. I had to take mine apart like 5 times. If you follow this video exactly then you will be all set. Thank again!
