I beleive he was criticizing the ref for making a bad call. He believed he had a shot at hitting the ball. Kane was in his way, so he was trying to get a hinder. He was asking the ref if the ball was beyond his reach?

48:55 "for a second" "might've been a split-second" lol, the banter between these two. Royster and Katz good commentators for the most part. Not sure if it means anything but they explain basic stuff like reverse pinches and avoidable hinders to the audience. I wonder if they're just trying to fill in silent moments with talking or they really are catering to an audience of racquetball that doesn't know what these things are.

Maybe it is because they were broadcasting on the Tennis Channel. I heard Royster mention something like... for you tennis players or new to the sport, this is an avoidable, this is a screen, etc. They did make good chemistry. Katz was more reserved and "proper". Royster, more on the rebel side and more hip. Thank you for visiting and watching!
