I was there in Luneta that time and this has got to be the worst, poorly funded opening games in the recent SEA Games history. Even GMA was late and when she came out of the stage the Pinoy crowd was booing her. Pity. When the cauldron was lit, the crowd was like "that's it??" The foreign athletes were unimpressed, so was the crowd. I hope in the future we can put up a better show.

Nelson Cabreros problema hindi pang olympic level ang performance, yung host ng sea games noong 2003 sa vietnam gumamit sila ng mga laser effects sa opening ceremony nila na mas nagpaganda pa lalo sa performance ng mga Vietnamese mas olympic level yung performance nila kumpara sa performance na ginawa ng mga pinoy sa quirino grandstand, yes sea games 2005 ang pinakamaraming audience sa isang opening ceremony ng multi sporting event pero sad to say hindi pang olympic level ang ginawa ng Pinas by that time, tinalo pa tayo ng vietnam two years earlier last 2003 sea games when it comes to performance in the opening ceremony, hopefully sa sea games 2019 hosting ng pilipinas ay pang olympic level pa ang performance ng opening ceremony natin

Maganda yung cauldron, may effort naman.... Kulang lang ang Security para ma-contol yung crowd... and yung suot nung Torchbearer, parang Torchbearers ng 1960... Mga naka-sando at naka-maikling shorts lang... But the Overall Torch Lighting Ceremony is great naman... Sana mag-host ulit ang Pinas ng SEA Games or Asian Games para Maipakita naten sa mundo na ngayong mga panahon na ito, ay may mas ibubuga na ang Pinas pagdating sa Multi-Sport International Events... =)

performance wise, okay ung performers natin... magagaling... di nakakaboring yung production numbers plus maganda ung live orchestra at live musical scoring... VENUE lang talaga ang problema sa edition na to... napakapanget ng venue! kung mala-concert style lang din pala ang gagawin ng pinas during that time edi sana sa Araneta Coliseum nalang nila ginawa... hindi naman ganun karami ang performers natin para mangailangan ng malaking floor space... mukhang tanga itong opening ceremony na to sa totoo lang... ewan ko ba parang tayo lang yata yung bansa sa buong Southeast Asia na walang maayos na stadium noong mga panahong yan... Im wishing na sana sa 2019, magpakitang gilas naman ang pinas at wag tipirin ang SEA Games...

I dont know how I would have handled it, I would have resigned on the spot. Honestly, it would have been nicer if we did the opening ceremonies in a stadium, but thats what we can afford at the time. Too bad this video copy isnt very clear, I couldnt see myself on/near the stage!
