Sweet! I had an ‘05 23SSV, #6 ever in that model. Sadly it was was built like it was rushed to a boat show and had lot’s of gremlins. Still had five great years and enjoyed my time on the water making memories with friends and family!!

Would love to see you guys makeover an older direct drive boat for some inspiration on whats possible. I have a 91 Mastercraft maristar 210. Slowly getting everything I need to make it surfable. H3X wedge, fat sac fatseat and pump.

Direct drives don't make very good surf boats.

I am looking at a boat like this locally but heard the wave might not be as good as like the 06 Malibu you did, did it have a great surf wave? Comparable to like an x30 or Malibu of the same year? Did you post a video showing the wave and people surfing it?

Hard to compare a 21' to a 23' boat, but it surfed really well!

So what would benefit of older boat restored at around 60k vs an 2114 ish boat with a surf system at around 60k. Been debating this with my old boat for some time.

2014 still most likely will need updates and a lot of these boats that people already own they love and are familiar with them so getting into something new could just be someone else’s problems as well.

I love the project but since you put in all that work why not install surf gates too that’s what will make this complete please do it

While surf gates are convenient having a product that goes out the side is most effective in creating a great wave. Our wake shapers will produce a better wave than any aftermarket surf tab.
