@Hommel Yes but put the Iridium Plugs in and do your pair valve mod to the airbox. Maybe if you have more then 10k miles then also have your injectors cleaned and valves adjusted. Then you will get that extra bang!

@evilbear1978 Running lean and running too lean are two different things. When it is running lean it is getting a hotter egt (exhaust gas temperature) under higher work loads and/or longer performance time this can sometimes result in problems, but less performance. And in warm countries this can also lead to trouble. Running too lean can lead to burned valves and burned pistonrings and burned piston. I had several years of education in aircraft piston engines and learned enough about f/r ratios
@spitfire198313 жыл бұрын
@evilbear1978 Concerning the automatic adapting of the F/R ratio is only applicable for bikes with an exhaust oxygen sensor and can only adapt in a small band to correct weather influences. In cannot adapt to complete intake and exhaust modifications.

i wonder if blowing in air through the ram air ducts would make a difference?

my 05 gsxr with PC - Yoshi - filter made 169.8.. on the same dyno 08 10r with PC - Akra - filter made 156.5, also on same dyno s1000rr with just a slip on (cannot remember make) made 191. Also on same dyno 09 r1 (big bang shite) standard made 136.0 , then with filter/exhaust/pc made 142 bhp. The 05/06 still best for your money and it has a fantastic midrange, or the expensive s1000 which BMW designed the bike around the 05 gsxr.
@exup1k14 жыл бұрын
agree, should be close to 160 though, thing is these bikes are very light and make great torque, so although 160rwbhp the bike feels like more.
@dsouthmia0714 жыл бұрын
Let me know when you do that. I have this bike with stacks, full yoshi, BMC filter, airbox mod, thinner head gasket, Iridium plus, and a Mild port & polish.

Nice man ;) But that dyno is very positieve, i've got a akrapovic evo2 system with powercommander 3 and K&N filter and my performance is 166,3 hp and 120 Nm @ the rear wheel. So with only a full exhaust is running very lean so you wont pull max power and besides that is bad for your bike running lean and than putting it on a dyno.
@madfish7013 жыл бұрын
@robertmike219 ok now i'm going to fit pc5 and a K&N air filter, and plaese remind me what mods do you have on your bike?
@lou3008811 жыл бұрын
I got 169.64 on a 250i dyno. I have a BMC race filter and a M4 full Ti race exhaust system and a ECU flash.

i just dynoed my K6 and it only produced 152 bhp from the back wheel! it only has a yoshi trc-d. from were did you got 181 bhp?
@droceretik13 жыл бұрын
@manjunk427 K5 full yoshi system, bmc race filter, pc3 = 169.37 hp and 79.51 torque K7 165 hp and 77 lb ft stock filter, M4 slipon and custom map for the PC3 K7 165.8hp with stock air filter, m4 gp slip-on, and a PCIII (dynojet's m4 slip-on map) K7 174hp with full Akro PC3 and filter but that is on 98 oct fuel 2007 GSXR 1000, BMC Race Filter, Factory Pro Velocity Stacks, Brocks Full System, Iridiums, PC3, USB Custom Tuned Map, SMART TRE = 183 whp These are just a few examples of modded GSXR's

@rottepung666 so i must be happy cause i have the k6 and 2 days ago i fitted pcv and K&N air filter, Yoshi trc-d (slip-on) and put it on dyno and it produced 155.3, i was waiting for something near 159 but the mechanic told me it's cause of the heat (here it's bloody hot now!),he told me that if we try it on dyno in winter i should touch near 160, if it does I'm super happy, it's already fantastic as it is!

@Richard19706 for 2k man.... usually smaller cc bikes, old bikes, or salvaged new bikes(real bad condition) go in that price range you may find a early 2000's sportbike with high miles on it but for 2k its a 600 usually...

I have 181,1 hp on the dyno with my K5 and 117,8nm. Stock engine but some good aftermarket parts and official dynojet map. And that is on an official dynojet dyno. This looks more like a sell the high number dyno.
@droceretik13 жыл бұрын
d@AznT137 It doesn't say anything. It's displayed on the Dyno screen and we read it. The screen didn't "say" anything as it doesn't talk to us. The dyno recorded 181.1 HP.
@droceretik13 жыл бұрын
@manjunk427 It is 181.
@droceretik13 жыл бұрын
@manjunk427 I didn't write that I thought you were wrong as far as doubting that this bike made 181 rwhp. I actually agree with you and what I researched and posted actually confirms that it takes a shitload of other mods to get over 180 hp. I just wanted to introduce some facts from other dyno runs that included info on the mods I didn't miss the point at all. Where did I call bullshit to your opinion?
@dsouthmia0714 жыл бұрын
I was gonna say that cant be right, thats what im putting out with full yoshi, stacks, Pc3, BMC, plugs, and it took 6 hours to get my custom map done
@dsouthmia0714 жыл бұрын
If this bike is stock with maybe one mod then this is 181hp to the crank, not the rear wheel. Rear wheel HP on this bike is probly about 154-160

Yea 181 HP to the spark plugs, maybe 152 to the wheel. I have this bike with all the bolt ons and a port n polish. Tuned by the best at dyno works FL and the bike only puts out 170hp. The only way to get more is to go with cams and change compression.... Period. 170HP is insane!
@cott10r11 жыл бұрын
160hp was the best i've seen on one of these & it had a arrow slip-on & pcIII

@spitfire1983 I dont know who told everyone that FUEL INJECTED bikes will be hurt by running lean. That is only true in carbeurated engines. FI have the ability to adjust the fuel/air ratios. Carbs needed the specific back pressures to maintain proper mixture. This is by all means, a complete falacy. Sorry, dont mean to attack you, but I thought the same thing too. Researched this and found out that it isnt true.

Ok just had my k5 done out of curiosity ..she has 5,100 miles ,,yosh slip,, pc3 and she did 162 /81 and I stomp my buddies 08 by a bike length give or take .. thats a good feeling

He probly calibrates it high for better business .. a dyno pull doesnt realy mean sh**..°°..if it comes up without the clutch in 4th gear then your talkin
@tribulation13813 жыл бұрын
i hate when they just pull the clutch in and let it slow down. I like when they do a natural down shift to slow it down
@ManJunk42713 жыл бұрын
@droceretik Yes those are some very nice stats....however,YOU are missing the point...... I AM SAYING NO WAY A 2005/2006 GSXR 1000 IS MAKING 181 frikin HP!!!!! Eat some Wheaties ... raise your I.Q. and try again.
@aluisious13 жыл бұрын
@robertmike219 No. None of that shit magically produces 20-30 horsepower. That requires serious engine work. 100 octane fuel on a stock engine is completely pointless.
