I'm 46 now. Had Harleys. Super sports bikes and so on. Many new ones... So after a few years without a bike and a couple of kids later I just wanted a bike again. Why not a cheap older one. Got this bike last week. Best bang for bucks I've ever had. Great bike. More than fast enough. And big in size actually..

I own this exact same bike. Same year, same color, same everything. It is the most reliable bike I have ever owned. Push button and go. It's Bullitt proof :)

I have owned a few Suzuki's in my time. Two gs 750 Suzuki's and one GS 850 l Suzuki. I've never owned a sport bike but if I did 0wne one it would be the Suzuki Katana. One of the best looking most reliable sport bikes around.

Ohhh yeah the good ol' GS's 750's. 850's and 1000's I owned at least 20 of them over the years until I got my 1st '81 GSX 750 Katana. I rode it for about a year and had to sell it because I was doing my apprenticeship, money was short. As soon as I qualified I bought every GS 750 850 and 1000 and every GSX 750 and 1100 and also every 750 and 1100 Katana that I could lay my hands on back in Durban South Africa. I sort of became the guy to go to if you rode a Suzuki GSX or GS for second hand parts, I just kept all the Katana parts. I had 2 1000 SXZ Katanas with the wire spoke wheels in mint condition also. I drag raced one of my 1100 Katanas which was seriously modified right up until 2002 when I sold everything and immigrated to New Zealand to give my 3 daughters a better chance in life. Only been riding 250 to 600 supa motos lately, until yesterday, I bought a near new 2006 Suzuki Katana wow does it bring back some awesome memories. Won't drag race again, getting a bit too old and porky for that now days. lol

After searching the local market for a while, I got my '06 750 Katana last month. Thing is big, looks great in shiny black, is comfy as a sofa and can be driven chill or become a missile if you twist your wrist. Bought it really cheap with only 14K miles. Loving it.

@@Serpenoid123 2800 €, more or less 3K$. You can find cheaper, thing is I went for low miles and 2 years warranty.

I owned a 2001 750 and was very satisfied, easy to ride, comfortable and very reliable. Not a beginner's bike though, I would quickly run out of road if I really twisted the throttle for a bit. As newer bikes hit the market, it started to look a little portly (so did I). Went up to the Yamaha FJR1300 and loved it too.

I got one after watching this video. Same collor and all. All is correct what we are seeing and hearing here. The only thing is that mine is with very low milage, which meant a corrodet tankwalls and that clogged up the fule lines and passages (carb). After resolving that, it runs simply beautiful, a sublime ride.

I have a 2006 750 - 2nd hand 4k miles on it. Smoothest bike I have owned. Feels very solid, handles the roads really well, heavy enough to make it a comfortable ride, more than adequate power.

Actually in 98 they switched the Engine. It´s not the same as the GSXR anymore, its the Engine of the Suzuki Bandit just with a higher Displacement.

The problem is in 98 they started making less power. The 98+ 750 made the same power as the early 90s 600s. My 96 750 makes 100 or more depending on where you look. Sucks cause the styling of the later ones is so nice. I think it's cause there wasn't a big enough difference in power from the gsx-r so they dropped the power.
@LINKchris872 жыл бұрын
Not exactly ma dude. Thing is in the second gen (98+) Suzuki emphasized on low and middle range torque rather than top end power, so you lose some horses in the high revs. That said, a second gen Kat with an Akrapovic exhaust and a DynoJet carburation set gains A LOT of power while still keeping very adequate fuel consumption (1st gen were quite thirsty).
@county_bear9509 Жыл бұрын
true, but 92 is still plenty to get you around, an intake, slip on, and timing advancer should manage 100+

I’m not trying to be disrespectful, but they are ugly. They don’t offer any wow in looks or performance. They are just an average bike good for everyday riding and commuting in a natural comfort position... 90hp for a 750 isn’t something to brag about ether. To compare, the gsx-R 750 model produces 148hp. These bikes are good reliable fun bikes, and perfect for someone that is not Joe Rocket and just wants a average comfy fun bike.
