2005 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Backup Camera Install and Radio Replacement

Full installation video on how to replace radio with a Boss Audio touchscreen display (including Apple Carplay and Android Auto) and install a license plate backup camera for a 2005 Toyota Tacoma SR5.

wish i could see where you spliced the reverse light into the power wire, i’m stuck and mot sure what to do

I forked it off the red wire that turns on the backlight on the driver side. You can check which wire goes to the backlight by pressing the brake.

You wouldn't happen to remember where you got the female terminals, the type (Molex ?) and size. I ask because I'm trying to finish a cruise control install on my base cab, 2wd, 2.7L with a manual transmission of which I need to run 2 wires to a couple of connectors; ECM & Clock Spring (S8 & E22). Hope you can help.

Pulled out the factory radio and there is some amp or box the factory harness comes from. Did you keep that in when you put android in?

Yes, you should be able to install the camera on your 1992 pickup. You just might need to find a different touchscreen that fits your radio.

Is the camera dynamic? Like do the lines turn when you turn the wheel?

No the camera is not dynamic.
