@@elfathergorila Ah, I'm afraid I don't know exactly what they all do but I'm assuming, one connector goes to the steering wheel controls, one to the hazard/clock, antenna, one to power on the stereo and I'm guessing the other is for the cd player or illumination control. The Alpine headunit really brought the speakers to life! I'm talking about crisp sound from clearer sounding treble. That was the most noticeable to me. The bass didn't change much though. If you wanted more bass, I would change the speakers, get an amp and a woofer. I'm sure any brand headunit would do the trick too but I just like Alpine. This same unit is now in my G35. You only showed the easy stuff. I wanted to see the wiring!
@FirstTimersChannel3 жыл бұрын
We just soldered like for like wires from the supplied Alpine harness with the harness that goes to the truck in the Crutchfield kit. That part was easy but long and tedious so we decided to time lapse it. The only reason why we had trouble on day 1 was a fuse burnt out. Once the fuse was replaced, it powered right up. With the wiring schematic that comes with the kit, it's really not that hard.

Shawn, I'm assuming you have the same PAC RP4.2-TY11 that we used so to answer your question, yes there are plugs that are not used. The truck doesn't have a stock amplifier so we used "Combination 1" from the PAC manual for Vehicle Connector 3,4 & 5. This is for years 2004-2013 Tacoma's NON-AMPLIFIED. Hope this answers your question.

Hey there and thanks for commenting. To be honest it's kind of hard to help you as I can't see the wiring job that was done but if speakers aren't working, I would always check the wiring.
