Are the Fog lights operational,If they are do I need to do some wiring I have a 2011 Honda Civic

Yes the fog lights are operational. We will do another video to show how we wired them to work. Basically we grounded the negative wire to the chassis and the positive red wire to the parking light wire where the switch will let you turn on/off when using the fog lights.

@@DaniNotebook Hi there! Thanks for watching our video! Yes as long as your 2008 Honda Civic LX is a sedan you can convert over to the 2009-2011 front bumper. Just also remember that you would have to get the front grille assembly because it is different than the 2006-2008 sedan models.

@@Firm400 Mine is a 2008 Honda civic LX sedan and I am very happy that it is compatible with the 2009 one. When you put the bumper on you had no problem assembling it?

@@DaniNotebook there was no issues at all. You would need to make sure that the new front grille assembly is installed first and then slide the new 2009-2011 front bumper into the seated areas to make sure it’s properly installed.

Did the 06-08 fender wheel wells fit on this bumper or did you also need to replace them with the 09-11 fender wheel well liners?

I only had the stock fender wheel well cover on the front driver side and from my experience doing this I had no issues

I believe the 09-11 sedan front bumper will only fit sedan models because I remembered seeing the coupe front bumper being slightly different than the sedan and would not fit. The grill on the coupe front bumper is different I believe and does not fit the sedan at all.

This conversion we did would only work on the sedan model. The coupe has somewhat of a different design that wouldn’t work. Not sure why Honda made the front end different for the coupe but if you look closely it there’s differences on the sedan and coupe.

How about installing HJG mini drive onto the stock bumber? Those are pretty small and very illuminuous.

Actually there was no need to remove/change headlights at all. It was only the front bumper and grill assembly that was needed to upgrade for the installation.

2006-2008 Models the actual grill mold is all in one piece with the front bumper. The 2009-2011 Models the front grille assembly and front bumper are separate.

@@krissyjenkins1013 is the MUGEN Grille you have for the 06-08 Model Years or is it for the 09-11 Model Years? What was mentioned on the first comment pertained to the sedan model. Forgot to mention that the coupe front grille is a bit different as well. So perhaps the MUGEN Grille you have might be for the coupe?

It’s gonna need more for the conversion cause the coupe headlights have a different shape which also means where it meets the fender is also different so you would need those as well

what was the purpose of the zip ties? They just popped into the video with no explanation.

Zip ties were used to hold up the middle section of the bumper due to the mounting points where the plastic fasteners that usually would hold up the middle section holes on the tabs were broken. So what we did was the front bumper had tabs in the middle that would slide into the front grille and we used the existing holes that were on the tabs and just slid zip ties into the holes and the zip ties that were already on the bumper support we just tightened those altogether. It’s not that great of a job or presentation on this install but it did the job the hold up the middle section of the front bumper.

@@Firm400 ah okay thanks, i was just didn’t want to do a job that required zip ties. I ordered some fasteners a couple days ago, i recommend you buy some if you haven’t already. They’re quite cheap and you get a lot of them.
