I wish I knew that the valve could stay open and you still get heat and cooling. Pointless to add the plastic valve then its only bound to break. Seems like the cable is also unnecessary as Acura has phased it out and the blend door takes care of the hot and cold.

@@PeterCalixte do you recall the size of the coupling to fit into the flex tube? I want to say 5/8” based on the plastic valve I just removed. Would like the option to swap it in the future.

Yes you should in drain in a bucket an reuse it.

Do you know that name of the cable and if it can be changed out? Mine has the wire part gone and hoping it’s fixable
