I almost traded my 2004 GTO 6spd for one of these when they first came out until I test drove it and realized that it was FWD. Silly me, thinking that the great revival of the 80's Gbody car with twice the power and decent looks would have also been RWD. Some sick bastards at GM, really. They gave us the CTS V coupe but still won't give us the orignal Monte back on an account that they keep ruining it and can't seem to help themselves. It's like they can't give us a car that makes too much sense. Somewhere along the line some executive has to jump in and go "HOLD IT, that's enough, we're not supposed to give them EXACTLY what they want".

GM were FOOLS for making this car WRONG-WHEEL-DRIVE! So long burnouts and drifting. If this car had that Zeta platform from the Pontiac G8 it would've been an INSTANT CLASSIC! She's still a beauty tho

Just looked at the website of the dealer, Eldon Robbins and no 2006 Monte Carlo SS. I was wondering why it had personal plates on it. So I guess it was never for sale, just a demo of the car, seems like. I was interested even since it didn't have a sunroof. Didn't catch the mileage either but guess it doesn't matter!

Gm failed all chevy monte ss Enthusiast. Every time I happened to my car I wish you was RWD.This was GM downfall, how tf you stop what brought you buyers.Tried to cater to old people that was dying instead of the youth that was flying. Its fast but still a Failed project.
