OH! One more thing.....your tip on using painter's tape was EXCELLENT! worked perfectly! I did have a ding from the previous time I changed the bulbs, so this made it a ding-free event. THANK YOU AGAIN!

Thank you for the instruction. Your video is more in detail and much more informational than the first 3 I watched. Much appreciated. I've had my expedition for 11 yrs. and this is the first bulb replacement i've had to do...Love it. Thanks, again.

Thank you for showing how the body work is what prevented the headlight assembly from just sliding out after you unscrewed everything. I was having a lot of trouble looking around for something that I still needed to unscrew.

Thanks for posting this. I have the same year, same color......and the same problem, the light would not come out. I thought I was doing something wrong and I was going to break something trying to get this out until I took a break and watched your video. After which, I was able to get it out. Thanks again for this video.

Thanks for the video. I was having problems getting the headlight assembly out and that's why I did a video search. Your video showed me exactly what the problem was. Used 2 screwdrivers on the bottom and one on the grill side and it popped right out. The painters tape was a good idea, as well. Thanks

Thanks for the video. I got lucky and only had to pry on one side.

I didn’t have to take the assembly off the body. You can just pull off the bulb cover and unscrew the bulb. With your burn connector it’s lucky you took it apart but you should leave it attached to do a simple bulb change. Took me 2 minutes.

it looks like if you used a putty or spackle knife that might have worked better than the flathead

That grease you put will not put a resistance to the connections?That will not degrade the brightness of the bulb?
@gregpowell8705 жыл бұрын
Efren Saclolo no it designed for use with bulbs to prevent corrosion which is why this bulb went bad in the first place.. you can find it at auto parts stores on the counter with the brake lubricant packets

@dodgydave15648 жыл бұрын
and the burnt plug ..... possibly a sign of a bad ground?
@gregpowell8708 жыл бұрын
don't know what caused it.. The truck is 10 years old even though it doesn't look it..it was an after market bulb in there so I assume may have burned a little hotter/or higher wattage then recommended

Should have removed the long bolt from the back...no prying would have been necessary.....

Is there just ONE bulb per side?

Yes
@rickstevenson94873 жыл бұрын
@@gregpowell870 Thanks, Greg! So one bulb handles hi and lo? The Sylvania bulbs come in hi and lo bulbs (9005 and 9006). Confusing.
