tHanks for this. I'm here after having changed the passenger side. Your video is super clear and covers what I needed. I write that after having watched seven or eight other videos that I can compare yours to. This is the video I would recommend to others.

This video really helped out! Appreciate the tip of not having to remove lower ball joint. Also, I had a long pry bar which made popping off the axle super easy, as my friend borrowed my massive flat head screwdriver and never gave it back.

Great video! I have the Honda service manual and it says to remove the lower ball joint. I have done both sides and that makes it a tough job. I've been fighting getting the ball joint back on so I watched this video. I will loosen the strut and remove the caliper to assist the reinstall. Thanks!

@@AdamsWrenchTherapy That was so much easier! Usually the Honda manual is pretty good. From now on I'll get a second opinion before starting! Thanks again!

@us-nic6121 I honestly don't remember. It was purchased at my local auto parts store.

Thanks for the video I'm getting ready to do my 06. Did you use aftermarket or OEM I'm trying to decide which way to go.

Does the Front End need realignment after the suspension has been loosened as shown here?
@AdamsWrenchTherapy2 ай бұрын
@@RichardBayer-gy2ey it does not. You aren't taking apart anything that is adjustable.

A good tip... If you're going to be keeping your axle and are disconnecting the hub, etc, leave the castle nut on at the edge and hit the hammer against that to not damage the CV axle.
@AdamsWrenchTherapy Жыл бұрын
So true! Good advice. The reason I didn't recommend that is if you don't have the socket for the smaller size castle nut, you might need to reuse the old one. If you MC Hammer it, it becomes useless. Stop! Hammer time! 😎👍

You went thru a lot. All we do is break the ball joint use a compact to crack axel nut lose and bang the axel once. Axel came right out. Using a breaker bar is harder work when u have a impact

Did you also replace the inner seal between the inner part of the CV axle and the transmission?
@AdamsWrenchTherapy Жыл бұрын
It was in good shape and not leaking, so I left it in. So far, I've put about 5,000 miles on it, and no leaks.

Looks easy enough. Unfortunately I don't' have all the tools nor a good place to work on it. i live in an apartment. Guess I have little choice than to let the local garage do it for $600.
