Power wrestlers, yes. His style, like his brother, was all based on power moves. His was the kind of wrestling that got pops, especially in that era.
@giustinoscalise31772 жыл бұрын
@@christhornycroft3686 I agree, tho his agility as a Tag guy elevated his stock. Ultimately tho your stock can only go as high as your shit talking ability. Heal or Babyface. His work as a Babyface was top notch, but as a tag team guy, it didn't go far because of his promos. When he went heal, he was a heat seeking missile with legit wrestling ability. His promos as Big Poppa Pump are legendary because you can hate him so easily and be afraid that he could still kill your Babyface favorite. He's top tier in my opinion.

Johnny X I agree 100% with you. No one wanted any parts of the Steiner brothers, in the mid 80’s to mid to late 90’s they were hands down the toughest and most gifted wrestlers both in and out of ring. They had skills and flew around like a cruiserweight but were huge heavyweights. Scott flying off top rope ? Fuck that and NOONE wanted to get hit with the Frankensteiner. True wrestlers and I was never a steiners fan till the birth of BIG POPPA PUMP. He shined and couldn’t be held down. Best on the mic best in and out of ring and a legitimate badass.

I met Scott at an Indy show over here in the UK. He was stood talking to the promoter, I walked past and saw him, I thought "I'm gonna seem rude but I might never get this chance again" So I sort of butted in and just said "Sorry Scott but I just wanted to say it's an honour to meet you and thanks so much for coming over " and he shook my hand. Looked pissed off about it but he was cool. Also saw him in the promoters wife's car after the show and he legit barely fit in it, was a hilarious visual!

Scot, is without a doubt 1 of the Best if not THE Best Promo ever. The Artistic Imagination 1 must posses to create such rhymes & analogies is GENIUS, he is a Lyrical Gangster. "When the earth rotates on its 40th degree axis & Eclipses the Equimox it's there you'll find the Big Dipper", or something to that effect Money nothing but Money! So many examples when Steiner hit the ring for a promo every1 was entertained you knew it was going to be EPIC. Steiner was inducted into the Cauliflower Alley Hall Of Fame in 2015, his acceptance speech was fantastic. Friends describe Scott as a renaissance man, a stand up guy, who is a great friend one you can count on when the going gets rough. Have to say I've met alot of celeberties, wrestlers, actors, etc. Scott was the most humble and sweet dude I've ever met. I was 14 and was eating at a Cracker Barrel in Dry Ridge KY. I get up to use the bathroom and coming out was Big Poppa Pump lol he was in all black, hoodie and sunglasses but I knew it was him and he knew that I knew. But I didn't ask for a Pic or anything, I just let the man eat and be alone. Sure enough afterwards, my family and I are leaving and he comes over to us, yes HE comes to US and asks if I would like a pic or something. Dude was there with Pete Williams and this was during his TNA run. He went out of his way to be nice and I'll never forget that.

@jesterr71334 жыл бұрын
That's funny that Scott said Russo would have 20 ideas and one would be good. That is the exact same thing that Jim Cornette has said. He used the exact same number, lol.
