My dad took me to a house show in Houston when I was a kid "maybe 13." Steiner had a match with Christian. We had good seats where I could holler at the wrestlers walking down. When he got next to use I yelled, "I'm the big booty daddy!" When he turned and seen it was a kid he smiled, and got almost nose to nose with me and said, "holler if you hear me." Made my night. Even though he was playing heel he took a few seconds of his entrance to humor a no name kid. Ill never forget that.

I worked a show and he was there , and when I say he ruined my image of who I thought he was . It’s a good thing he was hands down THE NICEST PERSON, he was over the top sweet and caring to everyone working there. When he asked me if I could get him 3 cases of eggs I ran out got him eggs and watched him boil the eggs on a hot plate and talk to me like I was his best friend. He is in my top 5 favorite wrestlers and top five favorite people. He’s been super awesome every time I’ve seen him or talked to him. He also remembered the eggs lol

He needs no money (even if he just might have lost a good chunk from closing his Shoney's due to COVID) and is already member of multiple HoFs (he was inducted into the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Pro Wrestling HoF with Jim Ross giving the induction speech, for example), so why would he "bow down" all of a sudden, especially after the years and years of personal disrespect shown to him (blamed for the bad match vs. Triple H in 2003, Levesque calling him "someone who never made it in the industry" in that interview with the pandering goof Peter Rosenberg, banned from the '15 HoF ceremony after being rightfully angry, like many others, about Macho Man being inducted by Hogan, etc.).

Best tag team ever and Steiner is one of the most innovative wrestlers ever. His Big Poppa Pump gimmick was so entertaining but when he was just Scott Steiner he was 100% pure badass. Watch The Steiners vs Sting & Lex Luger from Superbrawl 1. Two baby face teams who were close friends. No animosity or heat between the teams yet when Scott gets the tag and comes in and cleans house. He’s so intense and cussing up a storm. Awesome match and one of the best tag team matches ever.

Great interview. First time I've heard Scott out of character and really good stuff. A wrestling legend and yes: the greatest tag team of all time!

I was a big fan of Big Poppa Pump in the late 90s. Still am. That person of his was off the hook.
