Hey man - thanks for the video. My situation - I have my key, but my lock is ceased tight, and I'm now at the point of destructively dealing with this problem. I've been wondering, rather than drill the lock, if I could locate/drill a hole above that last hex screw and gain access to that, and remove it - could I pull the entire thing out then or would I still have to bust it open?

You'd still need to break open open the lock portion of it because there is ONE bolt (most important one) located under the fuel cap.

What tool did you use to put the gas cap screws on

Just Allen keys. I believe they are either 5mm or 6mm hex head bolts.

So you stuck a flat head to turn the key? Mine is stuck in scared to break the key.

Yeah, but that was because I had lost the key. If your lock is stuck and still have your key, try using some graphite "dry lube" and stick it inside the key hole. If that doesn't work, then you might just need to order a new one and bust your current one open with the flat head screwdriver. 😁🤙

@@JodyWestbyHanalei yea that's what it looks like I will end up doing. I seen people doing different things like drilling into the key hole. I guess I'll try the flat head first.

@@Zx14rrrrrrrrrrr It'll be less messy than using a drill and you don't risk getting metal debris in your gas tank.
