I have two, one has the writing upside down when facing the queen head up wards and one that is the correct way round when the queens head is facing upwards, which is rarer?

I have this coin with the letters ` IRB ` enscribed below the Queens head , possibly the designers initials? Its also on a smooth silver surface. 1807 is not correctly aligned with the rest of the coin and the dots around the Queen side only are printed on the top half of the silver part of the coin. Have you heard of these ` errors ` before my friend?

I couldn't say how much you would get as It's very hard to value coins without seeing them as there can be so many different variations, for most of the 1807 coins if they are from circluation they will be worth about £2 maybe a little more if your lucky but if you are using e-bay to price them as a guide the best to use the sold filter and sort by ended - most recent. For this coin design though you want to look out for ones with a smooth background and initials after the year as they would be from proof sets so can go for a little more. Hi Maz, It's not fake if you look at any of the £2 coins you will notice that the writing can be either way up this is due to the fact the writing is put on the side first. hope this helps

The choice is yours, you can keep it, spend it, or have a go at selling it but it is quite a common coin if you have the normal one so would not get much more than face value if that. good luck with which ever you choose :)
