I've just accidentally found your video. Although I'm not a collector, I still have a lot of old pennies. Over fifty years ago, my brother and I used to play a form of five-a-side shove ha'penny except with a sixpence. We used old pennies as our "players". All the coins are somewhere in my attic.

Hi David. Obverse 2 is the common type used on pennies from 1913 till 1920.

when I was growing up in the 50s and 60s I was always on the lookout for a 1933 penny. I was told it was very rare and worth a lot of money. Never found one.

Hi, thanks for making such nice and informative videos. I don't collect specifically these coins but I have few of them from batches of mixed coins. Among them there is a penny from 1862, Queen Victoria, with interesting error on the reverse. The flag of the ship is running all the way until the beads of the border. I suppose that it is a die crack error. Have you seen or know about this error variety?

I have in one penny's 1906,20,21,29,30,2:36s,44,2:65s and 3:66s. In halfpennys I have 1920,24,42,44,45,2:47s,60 and 4:64s.a three pence from 1942 a two shillings from 1956. A six pence from 1965 and a 10 new pence crowned lion from 1979.

Colon points to tooth after imp for 1920 rarity 19 !, never found one to date checked 1000,s as well but have a 1903 open penny, check 'streaky' 1920 pennies the lower 2 is sometimes different also. 'the bronze coinage of Great britain' is the best book available for Farthings, half pennies and pennies. use jewellers glasses as well they are exellent.

Thanks for your videos,👍 I didn't know about value, I always thought " it was only one penny with value 1933." From now on I will look at penny's in a different way . I'm sure, I came across a collection of old pennies glued to a piece of plywood from 1860 till 1967 of course there was a hole in the 1933 one, I thought complete collection like that they will be very common and probably worth a £1 for the entire collection , wow I was so wrong.
