Thanks for the video man. Easy job. Only pet peve. Always start bolts with fingers. Looked like a cross threading tutorial.

I just pulled both my manifolds this evening. Pass side my from bolt was snapped. Driver side front and rear bolts are broke. Now both front ones still have some sticking out to where I think I weld nut over stud. Now back one on driver is broke in the head. I’m hoping I can get itt drilled without pulling head

Are the symptoms of a cracked exhaust manifold a louder than normal cold start and sudden engine vibration?

Normally it will sound like a lifter tapping.

Just had mine done and mechanic left off heat shield on my exhaust manifold, drivers side. Said it wasn’t necessary. What do you think.?

I am of the opinion if it wasn't necessary, the factory wouldn't have spent the time and money putting it on. With that said will it cause any short-term issues, probably not but what it will do is increase the under-hood temps and cause the spark plug wires to run hotter and anything that has to run hotter will have a shorter life.

Hello so I’m changing out my cats on my 08 with aftermarket ones and people say that it will still throw codes I’ve been tryn to find the video of your replacement but with no luck have you had any codes when you changed out yours also do you work at Boeing if so I do as well let me know about the cats I’ve got to pick your brain I purchased this jeep from dealer and have had nothing but issues thanks

I have not posted the video but to answer your question, no the catalyst efficiency codes are gone. I have no idea why people would say it will still though a code if you replaced the cats whether they are factory or aftermarket. The real question is will the aftermarket last as long as the factory and my answer to that will be probably not but they should still last a few years. I do not work for being but I do work for a major airline.

How has both the manifold and cats been working out so far? I bought aftermarket cats and had all kinds of catalyst issues and the stainless manifolds I bought make the cylinder 4 plug too close and burns or shorts it out. Been thinking of switching over to something more OEM

So far so good. No more catalyst efficiency codes and no more exhaust leaks.

@@PBFREAK01 you may be able to heat wrap the stainless and relieve that problem.
