Try driving an ES and then a XLE camry and you will feel and hear the difference in & out of the cars, it's obvious the people saying an ES is just a camry never got the invitation to ride in a Lexus, let alone drive one.

People who own the Camry have to trick themselves into thinking they are the same . The Avalon is closer to the Es than the Camry .

I've owned two Avalons, a 96 xl and a 2006 limited, the limited had every single option, including the radar cruise and navigation, and even though the ESshares a platform with the Camry it is definitely closer to the Avalon, which shares the same platform​@@stashouse617

I have a Camry and recently test drove a Lexus ES. Man that thing is smooth, quiet, very comfortable and powerful! I think my next car will be a Lexus.... after my Camry is done (if ever).

Yes i.bought a 08 es 350.from delership.where I work had 105 000 miles on it drive like a brand new car previously owner kept it dealer severed upto date man I step on the gas pedal from 0 to 60.car is a rocket surprise me how quick it is for a 6 cylinder

I have a 2010 ES 350 with with 157,930, and it drives like brand new still. Such reliable luxury cars. I’ll never drive anything else but a Lexus.

Worst car I ever owned. Built well, but made for a 70 year old person who has no intention of ever going over the speed limit. It handles so poorly, you better go slow. That said, the car is well built and very smooth and quiet. It's and old man's dream car. They should have stiffened the suspension about 30% and put 50 tires on it and it would be a far better car. All comfort and zero handling is going overboard.

@@luimirondon2961 - It shouldn't ride like a mustang. That said, the suspension is overly soft to a fault. Even a Mercedes luxury is much stiffer.

My grandparents drive a 2012. Amazing car! Extremely comfortable, extremely quiet & not sporty like my Nissan Altima, but very nice & pleasant to drive! This version is a lot better than the 2013-present versions. I sat in one & the interior looks & feels quite a bit cheaper & the ride isn't as plush.

@@stev_0690 correct 2007-2010 required premium fuel, and for 2011 they modified the engine and the car lost 4HP, but now able to run on regular fuel.

No that is not quite correct. Only the 2012 ES350 takes regular gasoline. 2007 through 2011 take Premium. Lexus detuned the 2012 model to be sensitive to the pricing of premium gasoline. Too many of their customers kept trying to run regular in their vehicles that required premium

Grover Williams it’s basically the same 2GR-FE engine in the camry, the IS and the GS has a 2GR-FSE engine tuned for sport and requires premium

When I was younger I wanted a car that was tight and handled well. Now that I'm older I appreciate a car that's smooth and quiet like the ES. It's nice to just not feel or hear the road. That's not a bad thing.

Any specific problems with the 2008 Lexus ES 350 ? I just found a nice 2008 ES 350 Pebble Beach Edition with 65,000 miles. They were asking $12,500 but after some negotiations they let it go for $10,000. A very nice and clean car. Tomorrow I am supposed to get them the money.

First of all doesn't need premium fuel starter button doesn't need 3 sec to turn off handling isn't terrible it's pretty good head room is great very comfy don't need to do all that stuff to get to climate control and yes it's fairly fun to drive. I would know because my mom has one and I've driven it

The ES takes regular fuel ( 87 octane ) all the way up to the 2021 the 2022's and beyond require premium fuel ( 91 octane or better ) and this guy's Anti Lexus bias is showing big time

@frank55656 Just to add, how is this an upgrade to the top-of-the-line Camry XLE? Basically, they are the same car with all the same features, though, the XLE gets a little better gas milage. This ES is just there to 'look pretty' and it might be a downgrade since Jake Fisher complains about rear view visibility.
