2007-2013 Escalade front drivers door handle replacement

Thanks! I didn't need to remove a yellow plastic rod clip on my 2007 Escalade ESV. I was able to rotate and get the rod off pretty easy. Apparently they made a couple of design changes over the years. Breakable, critical parts = future $ervice visits. I did have to widen one of the holes on the door for the Chinese part to align properly. Fixed and happy. THANKS again!

what a huge help! I am a woman and the dealer wanted $160 just for the back pass handle and driver door handle that didn't include install. I ordered my own online for like $30 something watched these videos and did it by myself. The video is perfect step by step guide anyone can do this. Just take your time and you are fine. Took me maybe 15 min each. Saved me a ton! Thank you!

I know this video is old but I cannot thank you enough!! Following your steps to do this change out on the front driver side door handle were spot on. Doing it myself was a bit of a time consuming process but your video saved me roughly about $300 plus dollars having the dealership do it. Thank you a thousand times! I plan on changing out the passenger side door next.

Thank for this video -- I apprciate the time and effort you took to make it! My install for a 2007 Escalade was a little different because mine was the front side passenger door not the driver door. Also, the yellow clip you remove at 4:30 was not on the passenger side door. I assume that's for the key lock. The frustration was getting access to bolts such as those holding the door handle on. I liked the trick of putting the 10mm socket inside a screwdriver -- that helped because I didn't have the right extensions to get inside the door.

Very helpful, thanks. Mine was the front passenger door. I was able to skip a couple steps (my clamp that held the rod inside the door was different, couldn't get it to release, ended up not needing it to release) and still get everything done. Appreciate your video!!

Awesome video, thank you! I only had one hiccup with mine. One of the mounting bolts and metal casing became dislodged from the original handle during removal and we had to use a dremel to cut it off. Get an extra bolt! 😂 Works like a dream now. Appreciate the information!

you really didnt need to remove they clip for the latch release. you can easily remove the rod from the handle with it hooked below. also the inner liner just needs to be removed in the upper corner to gain access to the 2 bolts securing the handle. other than that good vid thanks

You don't have to release the steel rod from the plastic clamp. Just remove the door handle and slide the new one on. EASY
