Watch a full tutorial as a 2007 Nissan Altima will have a brand license plate camera installed to an existing aftermarket radio. We will be using the AutoVox rear view camera that will integrate with our Boss audio double din radio.
This video applies to Nissan Altima models for years 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. This video also includes camera mounting and wiring, installation, and testing.

The purple wire is the trigger wire. He’s hooking it up to the red/blue wire because that wire only powers on when the car is in reverse which will tell your stereo hey we’re in reverse so the camera comes up automatically. There’s a wire behind the stereo that would say reverse input. Generally it’s purple also.

Do you need an amplifier if you install a new stereo?

Nope, aftermarket radio's have an internal amplifier and generally push about 25 watts RMS to each speaker. If you replace your speakers, and want more power, then an external aftermarket amplifier would be needed to push more power.

The camera I got I had to add about 3 feet of extra wire between the reverse light and the camera connector. But I think they shortened my wires to F with me

I wanted to know if the plastic parts holding the carpet are reusable or did you have to bust them to remove the carpet and install new ones to hold it back in place??

We didn’t have to break anything. If you remove them carefully, all will simply snap back into place.

Do you know if the wire varies. I was told the red/blue wire is actually the brake wire. The green/green(white stripe) is the reverse light. My car is an 08 altima 2.5s
