I grabbed the big plastic gear on the heater plenum and popped it off, along with a spring! It took me a while to get that clocked back into position!!

make sure you label which one goes in which spot, because they are different. they look similar but are actually made as a mirrored copy with the parts on the opposite side.

yes but the cables them selves are not identical. i know, because i bought one for the left side and they sent me on for the right side. i am not talking about the markings you show to reinstall. i mean the actual cable on the left side of the a/c controller and the right side are made different. @@YiannisPagonis

@@raiderman28 This is known my friend because these 2 cables are different in length, connection and also part number. Consult the technical manual for this particular Toyota model. (2007-2013 Toyota Corolla Service & Repair Manual Software)

Γειά σου φίλε μου. Καταρχήν εντόπισε και έλεγξε το ηχείο του βομβητή. Βρίσκεται στο πίσω μέρος του πορτμπακάζ. Μπορεί να έχει μετακινηθεί από την θέση του (π.χ. να ακουμπάει στο πλαίσιο του αυτοκινήτου σου)

Γιάννη έχω το corolla 2000 μοντέλο με τον ίδιο κινητήρα με το δικό σου 1.4cc και υπάρχει ένας μικρός τζόγος στο τιμόνι με θόρυβο ελαφρύ (ξύσιμο) μέσα στην κολώνα στο αρχικό στρίψιμό του (μετά σταματάει) και το ποιο σοβαρό πρόβλημα είναι ότι στις μικρές συνεχόμενες ανωμαλίες του δρόμου (χωματόδρομο πάντα) μου χτυπάει μέσα στην κολώνα ή κάτι τέτοιο, ένας θόρυβος μεταλλικός...τι μπορεί να είναι...τζόγος κρεμαγιέρας - σταυρός τιμονιού ή κολώνα...?Στους τροχούς είμαι κομπλέ,δεν έχω θέμα με τζόγο,άλλαξα πρόσφατα 2 ημίμπαρα, 2 μπιλιοφόρους κ ευθυγράμμιση.Δεν έχω αλλάξει ποτέ σινεμπλόκ συστήματος διεύθυνσης 520.000 χλμ.Η κολώνα τιμονιού επισκευάζεται με νεα δακτυλίδια κι αν ναι αυτά είναι ελαστικά η πλαστικά..?

Θανάση οι πιο συνηθισμένοι λόγοι για τζόγο στο τιμόνι είναι η χαλαρότητα στο ίδιο το σύστημα διεύθυνσης ή η χαλαρότητα σε μία ή περισσότερες από τις υποδοχές του συνδέσμου τιμονιού. Κρεμαγιέρα ή μπάρα τιμονιού και πινιόν που συνδέεται με το τιμόνι μέσω της κολόνας του τιμονιού.

This is a great video, thanks! Two quick questions, if you have time. 1. Does the reference point for reinstallation of the cables (around 13:15 in your video) align the dampers with the knobs or do I have to figure that out another way? 2. I am only replacing my jammed HVAC knob and cable assembly (the other ones are still fine) - is there a way to test to make sure the dampers themselves aren't jammed? Can and should I try to turn the gear by hand after pulling off the old cable assembly to test this? Thanks again, really appreciate this video!
