The way the cars sound in 2007 is way better than today.

It all had to do to with the tapered spacer instead of the normal restrictor plate and fuel injection instead of the 4 barrel Holly carb

@@trecooledge1326 No. It's the exhaust package. Has nothing to do with the spacer or the carb. They changed the exhaust for the COT in 2007 (watch Talladega race) long before FI or the tapered spacer showed up.

@@DerrickRG were both tight pal. If you used the same exhaust without the restrictor plate it wouldn't sound like that bc the amount of air is a lot less.. but we're both correct. Each team can use it's own design of headers.

Do you remember how the Morgan McClure #4 Kodak sponsored car sounded back in the 90's at Daytona and Talladega? That car just sounded so much different than everyone else's car. You could close your eyes and tell when the 4 car went by. It even sounded different and the regular speedway tracks. So when u were sitting in the stands, u could close ur eyes and tell when he went by compared to everyone else. Their car has that high pitch whine like all of these cars sounded like then. But in the 90s they were the only ones who ran those type headers and I don't know if that's why the 4 car so much stronger than everyone elses restrictor plate program or something else. But that 4 car was bad ass fast at the plate tracks in the 90s.

Speedweeks, 2007... Tony Stewart was bad fast. Good thing for Kevin Harvick in the Daytona 500 that Stewart got loose and lost it and took himself out. And Todd Gilliland really threw away a golden opportunity.
