2007 Cadillac Escalade - STABILITRAK/TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS/CHANGE/FIX

I have same year in Canada and corrosion breaks seals on all external electronics ! The miniature retainer screws of all modules, coil packs , abs module …, corrode , expand the anti crush sort of roll pin design that they pilot through . When this happens , the fasteners , surround roll pin break the electronic seals and then the shorts, failures abound. Only remedy is to due what GM should have !, replace everything at great cost , removing all those fasteners and liberally coating inside with anti seize/ waterproof grease to keep them from rusting and expanding again . Hard to believe they are not aware of this , never another modern GM in this household and too bad because I truly like vehicle . I’ll take my 89 suburban electronics anyway ! Ps : great video ,keep up the good work. Currently my dash lights are , motor, abs, parking brake, stability control, suspension and ?, runs great but worried about liabilities if I slid into another car because no abs ,etc , but not putting thousands more into it as the body , body mounts, etc are all going really fast.

Good video i have same truck, bought it with check engine light on & on limp mode wouldn't pass 3rd gear until i vlear the codes then drove fine through all gears until check engine light came on went back to limp mode & you couldn't see the indicator light under the P R N D M. ONLY WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS CLEARED. The code was for the internal range sensor $40. I replaced it and runs great. I think i will have to replace valvebody because at cold it will shift with a small slight delay on 2-3, 3-4 but when warm shifts great.

So what all did u have to do and replace im not having problems with my transmission just the stabiltrak light come on and I have to get my obII reader and delete codes and then It will work again like nothing for a while but it also says by 2nd Bank of 02 sensor needs to be replaced you think I need to replace this or what else should I take a look at it kinda sounds like it's misfires sometimes thanks for the help

Noticed you had a P0011 code. I got that too for the VVT. I just changed the Magnet VVT solenoid and Camshaft sensor behind the water pump. Hopefully that did the trick. For me it stalled after coming to a stop from highway speeds.

Yes seems to be an ongoing issue with the older Escalades, I recently changed oil filter from Fram ultra synthetic to WIX XP and it has been running better..

@@rezcarguyz26 I was sad to hear that many if not most modern cars have VVT. I feel like it just adds more things that can go wrong. Apparently as you mentioned the Oil Change. These cars are very sensitive to the Oil. Mine seemed to go through a fresh synthetic oil change after about 2-3K. I figured it's running a bit hot so I went up from 5-30 to 5-40. It seemed fine however either do to that or late oil change, but I'm afraid that's what possibly caused my P0011 issue. I'm going back 5-30 and I'll just have to change more frequently. I'll look into that Oil Filter.

You could try and replace the torque converter first and see if it fixes the problem. Or change the whole transmission. It’s almost the same job labour wise.

My Stabilitrak and traction control come on but makes p0011code come on with engine light i changed vvt magnet and vvt solenoid/actuator and camshaft position sensor removed engine light and gave it power also did wheel hub both are bad but only can do one for now it removed the light but comes on and off im guessing the other wheel hub and sensor is horrible i can feel it when im braking and driving but with the new one made a huge difference

I had the same problem and it was spark plug #6 but also is leaking little not sure from where but is a motor oil on my case

For a shop to do it or to do it yourself? .. If you change it yourself you can probably pick up a tranny on marketplace for under 2 grand and the odd buys like new rear main cover gaskets and seals and tranny fluid and filter is probably going to cost you around $400 so to do the job yourself I would say anywhere between $2000 to $2500 depending. … for a shop to do it you’re looking at around $4500 from my calculations and regional pricing.👍

It was something have to do with the transmission wiring my mechanic just wiggled the wires and it worked fine.
