I had a Buick Lacrosse 2011 CX model. The Stabilitrak repair light with the message appeared and suddenly the car stalls completely while driving! What a dangerous situation. Then after 10-12 minutes, I was able to start the car, but whenever I stopped at a red light the vehicle stalled again and I had to restart again. I took the car to the mechanic of a shop and he told me that he wouldn't be able to solve the issue. I to the Buick to a local GM dealer and they inspected the car and gave me an estimate of @ $ 4500 to replace the timing chain to solve the issue... These GM cars are such an insane pain to its loyal customers! Please avoid buying/leasing GM vehicles at any cost... This huge company will be bankrupt one day sooner or later!

If your having this problem with a 2007 Tahoe, your throttle body needs to be replaced. Don't get the after market one, you have to get it from dealer😢

Thank you very much for the video. I have been having an issue where the engine will sometimes not all the time runs rough. It can happen at any speed or driving situation. No check engine light will appear. Two days ago, this happened as I was pulling out of the garage and I noticed the StabiliTrak Needs Maintenance message appeared but no Check Engine Light. I connected my Car Computer and no codes were found. This has stumped me as the rough engine running happens infrequently and at any type of driving and speeds and can be weeks or even months between happenings. Any advice is gratefully appreciated!! Also, I have replaced all 4 spark plugs and Coil wires and connectors about four months ago hoping this would fix the rough running issues. Additionally, we installed a Oil Catch Can in the PCV system to elliviate back pressure and stop sludge from going into the Throttle body and Intake Manifold. Another fix done two years ago. So, maybe a vacuum issue somewhere?

Does your car have a diaphram on top of the valve cover? Some of these have issues where they suck air in and cause the engine to run rough due to excessive air to fuel mixture.

My Chevy Truck Stabilitrak was just a pulled wire on the Brake control module that caused that with no cruise and tail lights stayed on. All for one wire. East fox though.

Mine only alerts me for a very short amount of time ONLY after the vehicle starts back up after engaging in automatic shutoff. when I release the break go start moving again, the message appears and the alarm sounds very briefly- half a second-then goes off.

2017 Chevy Malibu...Stabilitrak light flashes on and off. Steering Assist Reduced flashes on and off. GM wants to go through a flow chart to determine the problem. Costing me over $3K and it still may not be the problem. I believe its a short to ground problem and have asked for a electrical diagnosis but unable to get one. They insist I need a Inflatable Restraint Module, and if that does not fix it, then I would need a new EBCM, but that may not be the issue neither. Process of elimination is just more money in their pocket.

Probably an issue with a speed sensor or tone ring - make the Stabilitrak think the wheel is slipping, so it cuts down the power.

The Gas Pedal has a Sensor & That will need to be Replaced as well....The GMC will work but the issue will be back.. Get a Used one from a Donor Truck & you can save Money...Just Trying to Help. Cheers Mate ☕️
