Had mine for years, turned out the intermittent starting was the usual decay on the fuel pump wiring. Swapped it for a used 1000 multi strada pump from ebay , runs great now. Also needed a new speed sensor.

I have an 07 695 too and mine has the EXACT same nasty clutch line. Dunno why it always rusts like that
