Just found your channel and got to say this was a good video. I had a 2008 Ford Ka as my first car and I will admit that I miss it. Because of that, I'm genuinely considering buying a SportKa. Not only to see how much better it is over the standard car but also because I want to potentially modify it.

I had a SportKa about 10 years ago. It was a good little car but to me it always felt best being driven moderately as the engine was strong in the low to mid range but didn't feel happy at high revs. I loved how simple it was and the gearbox had a fantastic action, I enjoyed owning it but wouldn't have another.

The one nice thing you didn't mention was the design of the interior - those lovely circular shapes on the door insides, the shape of the dashboard and clock etc. Most cars just have grey rectangular lumps for dashboards and noting interesting about the insides of the doors.

Very enjoyable review, thanks. Only downside, too short! Great car to drive but like all Ka's, inbuilt corrosion is a huge issue. Beware. The stereo with aux input is either a late build addition or an optional upgrade as they all don't have this.

Thanks! Yes unfortunately they do rust like nothing else! The Dashboard was updated for the 2005 model year and between 06-07 they upgraded the stereo to have an Aux input, very good sound quality as well!

@@MilesOnCars Yes, my 55 plate Sportka has the revised dashboard, which thankfully gave the car a proper glovebox instead of the rotating lid contraption which was interesting but rather impractical. Will there be any more Sportka videos to come?

I'm not a car person either but I do like watching car reviews. I watch maybe 200 before breakfast then another 300 or 400. I'll have a kip after dinner then watch a thousand or so more before supper. The man at the DHSS seems to doubt it's a good use of my time.
