www.paypal.com... I may need CVs or driveshafts I get a crazy shudder/wobble sensation at certain speeds during acceleration. It weird cant really explain it and cant always duplicate it. BUT i do know the driver side driveshaft boot is torn and wet. It pops as well in turn oh so lightly. SO i know its on its way out! UPDATE TRANSMISSION FAILED ABOUT 100 MILES AFTER THIS VIDEO.

Just change out the cv axle. That’s a major common problem for these SUV’s. I had the same problem but everything is great now. Another thing is the transmission, keep clean transmission fluid in it. Flush it every 50k miles instead of 100k. Take care of your vehicle and your vehicle will definitely take care of you.

I drove one of these for work at one time. The transmission always would be hunting for gears on the highway. I wouldn't have minded if the gear hunting happened only once in a while (on inclines, when passing, etc). However, the transmission would hunt between gears during the entire trip. I can't imagine that it was engineered to operate like that. While it wasn't a great car overall, it was definitely not the worst.

my mom bought a 2012 one SLT three months ago it does have nice features inside and it does drive real smooth. but it's been having some problems sad to say. two days after my mom got the alternator went out and then one week after that the AC compressor needed to be fixed. three days after she got the AC compressor fixed the window regulator went out in the driver's side and the windshield wipers quit working. two weeks after. rear power liftgate wouldn't open. now the climate control doesn't work properly and the car has a major gas leak. my moms only had the car for 3 months and she said she regrets buying it not sure if it's common or if my mom just got unlucky

Hello guys, I know this post is old but I’m here trying to see if someone can point me in the right direction, I bought a GMC Acadia almost the same as the one in the video, 2010 GMC Acadia SLT awd, $1600 dollars at the auction with 205000 miles on it, ok firs I have to say that it comes with some problems but I been fixing almost all of them, at first it has no radio, ac wasn’t working, and it has a vibration only when I started to accelerate, ok I checked under the motor and the front CV axle from the passenger side it was loose, they didn’t tighten it up, so ok I replaced it and I tightened it up very good, I fix ac and radio, everything was looking good, but again sane vibration only when accelerate fast, you can see the 2 front tires vibrating and the steering wheel vibrates too, only if you accelerate fast, if you accelerate slow it doesn’t do nothing, a mechanic come to check it out and he told me that my motor mounts were the problem, ok I ordered all 3 of them and I replaced them, of course they were in really bad condition, and thought that my problem was solved, but not again the same issue, the vibration continues, I lift the suv again and check the driver side CV axle but it looks in good condition, it doesn’t moves if you try to move it by hand, !! i didn’t replace the transmission mount!! But today one of my friends told me that it could be the transmission, he told me that the transmission do that when it’s bad, does anybody know if that could be the problem? Thanks I’m advance I hope that someone can give me an answer. 👍🏼

Buddyroe93 yesso far so good unless one of the services on the carfax addressed that problem. Unfortunately the Carfax didn’t give a lot of descriptions as to what was replaced or repaired in the services. I had a friend look at it today after I made this video and he is a ASE certified mechanic. He definitely told me the transmission was going. It shifts gears perfectly fine no slippage. But the vibration and wobble that I’m getting is from the metal rings in the transmission? Are going bad. I think they are called wave plates or wave rings? He offered to buy it from me for what I have in it so I think I’m going to sell it to him. He said he would just drop it until it quit and then try and find a good used transmission to put in it and did the same thing over again ha ha

@ford89ltd 6 жыл бұрын
Ya with that many miles I would try to off it. Looks like it's held up well with all those miles. I bought a Pontiac G6 Gtp a year back and mine was the other way around. It needed new timing chains but the trans was smooth. I try not to deal with the 3.6/6 speed auto combos from GM. If your friend is willing to pay you what you have into it I would jump on it.

JilliA T-Bell it really depends on you and the car, we bought ours with 91,000 miles in 2012 . It was a one owner garage kept car with all service records and a car fax. Also, if you keep up on your cars with oil changes and car washes then that is important too, because that’s the only reason why ours has lasted for so long. The one major problem we had was that the transmission went twice. The first time was at 95,000 miles but was covered by the warranty we got when we got the car, the second time it went was at 230,000 miles but we got a new one for a low price. How much are they asking for yours? And do you have the vin number?
