Good to see her back on the ground and moving! This was a huge job, you reallly pulled it off! Can't wait for the first ride video. It took me a couple of tries to get my exhaust tips just the way I wanted them. Those exhaust connectors give you a lot of room to play with. Congratulations!

Do you have any issues with reverse gear? I'm not sure if the TR6060 transmission is supposed to behave this way, but I generally have to wait around 3 seconds after stopping with the clutch fully depressed before I can shift into reverse, otherwise it grinds...

I have a 09 GT500 with 40,000 miles and it does the same thing I put it in first and then go to reverse and it doesn’t grind. I also replaced the clutch with the McLeod 1200 expecting it would change but nothing but other than that, the transmission is good to go Straight hurting feelings lol

After the trans rebuild, which I touch on at the end of this video, I do not. Prior to the rebuild reverse was aweful to try and get into. During the teardown video, the reverse synchro looked by far the worst out of any of them. I am happy to report, after the new carbon hybrid synchros are in, reverse goes it perfectly smooth with no additional effort compared to any other gear

@AllThingsBoost So, the owner's manual states the following on pg 184 "Reverse 2. Move the gearshift lever into the neutral position and wait at least three seconds before shifting into R (Reverse). The gearshift lever can only be moved into Reverse by moving it from left of 3rd and 4th before shifting into Reverse. This is a lockout feature that protects the transmission.." The instructions refer to the 5 speed manual, though, and I did not see any special instructions for going I to Reverse on the Shelby GT500 supplement book. I have been shifting into Reverse exactly as those instructions state and have had 0 grinding issues going into reverse. If I shift too fast into Reverse after stopping or idling in neutral for a while, then it will grind. I thought it was odd since my previous MT82 car did not behave in this manner, Reverse was solid and easy to get into w/o any grinding...

@@tonyhunt100 interesting. I've had both the 07 GT, and now the Gt500 and not experienced a delay. The lockout keeps you from sliding the shifter over enough in the gate, my issue was always after that, actually trying to push the shifter into the gear. Regardless, if it works for you, awesome. For me when driving forward, reverse lockout locks out the shifter from being about to move laterally into reverse, and when stopped I can slide it over and up no problem now, where as before I could not.
