Removed airbox, no baffles, dyno jet stage 1 needle on 3rd notch. 137.5 jet - 142.5... revs fine when parked.. drives slow and can't get above 50mph... slide opens up just fine. No air leaks in cv tube. Been at it for months.

Well good thing you can't see light through my air filter. I just checked. I understand it will let more air and minimal dust in compared to the practically fully covered stock junk but people have been doing aftermarket filters on bikes for decades with no major issues. Anyway thanks for your concerns.

Tail End Customs I'm going ahead and diving into the deep end with my bike. Chopped the rear baffler out, and working on the front. I'd much rather slap some bent pipes like you guys use, but fuckin' moneys tight. You know where I can get some good info as far as measurements on where to chop the frame, how to determine where to mount things, size of fab'd mounts, etc etc.. I'm a machinist and can make certain things. No pipe bender at my shop though, which sucks. Might be hittin' you guys up for some ;D

+Tail End Customs definitely! Thanks for the response. I also noticed that on some of the bikes you've posted, the stock pipes are cut then tips are welded on. How is the tip welded onto the second cylinder? I was wondering how it's done since it has half of a heat shield
@TailEndCustoms8 жыл бұрын
+Torey Smith leave the rear heat shield on and where the muffler starts you cut on the muffler just a little further back to match the tip size and weld it on to there. Then wrap.
