What would keep the 2007 4300 from shifting out of park and going dead when the PTO is engaged?

That engine will not start until you have oil psi. Once your dash oil psi gauge reads at least 40 psi it will start. If not then you have issues. WIF lamp will come on every time you key on, then goes out. You can crank that starter for a good 30 sec with out hurting it.

High pressure oil pump must put out at least 4000 lbs of pressure before sending a signal to the IPR telling the injectors to fire... No oil pressure, no fire.

we replaced injector harness, and high pressure oil rail seals and it solved our problem

You need servicmaxx to correctly diagnose the problem. I work on this junk everyday. Don't replace components without a laptop. Waiting money is what your doing

Mine was doing a cycle. Abs light on won't crank, water in fuel light next if it starts it will run lopey and stall. Next cycle if you don't bother trying to start is either abs again or nothing. When they all go out then it starts up like nothing ever wrong. If ABS light comes on when it is running shuts right off. I had some wiring fixed and thought it was gone, just started happening again at same time i had issues with a relay going bad. Now they are thinking it is the neutral safety lockout switch going bad that is telling auto transmission that it isn't in neutral and truck won't start until it goes off....anyone have this issue?

also, the relay that was going bad was shooting injector codes just so people know. Whole thing started when Fleetpride replaced an egr cooler and apparently pulled a turbo boost sensor relay out of it socket and broke most of the tabs. They didn't replace and it was belching black smoke randomly. Suddenly started shutting off while i was going down road. Luckily i was by a Kenworth dealer that does some work on my trucks and pulled in right before it died and wouldn't start. They found the relay and when they pulled it our of shot got the code for the turbo sensor. Fixed that and then the abs light came on and it wouldn't start....no codes just no start until it finally cycled off. They think it is the neutral safety switch but it hasn't been taken in yet. Has anyone had this happen to them? Want to fix it before it escalates like the last problem and shuts off while i am on a busy road...

they originally thought it was an injector controller before they found the relay that was slowly melting.

Lisiate Leaemanu high pressure oil rail seals and injector harness solved the problem
