6:42 put a penny in between clutch basket and primary drive cog to lock it, I do it all the time on mine saves locking conrod an putting strain on the big end bearing

That’s pretty smart. I just used the tip or my flathead earlier. Coppers a lot smarter and safer I’m definitely gonna use a penny next time

i know this is older video but i use oil filter wrench to hold clutches. Or wrap a chain wrench and use to hold. cheaper than specialty tool

How does the clutch work on this engine? I don't see how it separates to disconnect from the drive. Can anyone answer.

hey software dev jason. have the same bike with some clutch dragging issues. as soon as the bike is started and is in gear with clutch in the bike wants to take off. even when off and in gear the bike is so easy to roll foward. just having real weird issues just seeing if you have ever experienced those issues
@SoftwareDevJason7 жыл бұрын
No I personally haven't, not with this bike anyway! What oil gear/trans oil is being used? Have you checked the clutch basket for wear?
@abrahimyehia95467 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your reply. I checked the basket has a few marks but nothing severe. Even when the bike is off and you put it in gear you can roll it easy with barley any resistance
@abrahimyehia95467 жыл бұрын
The oil that was in there looked old and a little bit of metal filings came out. When I took the clutch cylinder off it had alot of resistance which says the clutch is working. I think i may be missing the small pressure plate. Ill take a pic when i get home cause im just in hospital hopefully it would help alot

I have another bike with a very similar problem. It was caused because I removed the judder spring and I'm using a clutch disc/plate set made for a different bike. I would check the manual to verify the correct clutch was installed and/or like you said, it's not missing something. Good luck!

Yeah cool ill check that out aswell. And i will send a pic when i get home of the clutch basket and discs. Thanks alot champ for your reply. Much appreciated

ColeKam did you manage to find out if you can remove the kick start shaft without removing the clutch basket??
@colemankamryn5 жыл бұрын
@@mick854231 You can not. I had to remove the clutch basket. Not a big deal.

Where did you find the service manual? I have a 2006 65 that needs some work.
@SoftwareDevJason6 жыл бұрын
Scraped it together from various sites and forums online and printed what I could find out. The owners manual is pretty easy to track down, but service manual not so much.

what the name of the book you have near on the table?
@SoftwareDevJason6 жыл бұрын
It's a book i put together myself. I pieced together pieces of it online. Official user manual + other service guides I found. I think I found a service manual for an older bike too that I put in there.
