Nice truck, if you want a better sound at wide open throttle look into a bigger down pipe an the driver side exhaust manifold. It'll have a deeper tone wide open. I had an early 07 silverado an after those parts, mine had a nice deep sound. I believe it was a diamond eye 3.5 inch downpipe to a 5 in. that we made in the garage. I had mine dump before the rear wheel.

I think the only difference between a lly and a lbz is a tune

@@justmanny4668 not true. LLY has smaller turbo mouth piece, sometimes overheating issues, sometimes headgasket issues. The LLY runs at 23000psi rail pressure, the LBZ runs at 26000psi rail pressure. The LLY also has a bigger turbo than the LBZ. The LLY also didn’t have the 6th gear enabled and it ran slightly lower line pressure, so it couldn’t handle as much power. The 06 LLY’s are the same as LBZ’s though, they’re just detuned a bit.

How do you get it to have that scream to it. Is there anything special. No cats or muffler is how it makes that sound? Cause I’ve heard some lbz that sound like that and some don’t.

Well besides the 5 inch from the downpipe back, ive also installed 3" air to air piping allowing for better flow from the 2.5" stock piping. I think this might have to do with hear that turbo a little more

I would have to say it’s the tune. Some tunes have the turbo vanes more open at idle. I’m curious what tunes they are cause I can’t get PPEI delete tunes anymore.

@Dalton Garza Hey sorry for the late reply! I do have 3" air-air piping instead of the stock 2.5". It let's more air flow & let's the turbo breathe a little better, I'm not certain but I believe that's what makes the sound different

To be 100% honest its really rough, and takes a toll on the front end. It's a cheap way to fit 33s but buy definitely recommend a proper lift. I just ordered a Rancho 4" lift for this truck and ill be making a video when it shows up aswell

@@gervaisbuilt I just did leveling keys too and in the first 100 miles blew out 2 ball joints. Going to upgrade to kryptonite upper control arms

@@nonagreeable probably a good call, I put 40k (kms) on these keys and I'm pretty much doing the whole front end (wheel bearings, 4 ball joints, pitman/idler arms) and going to order some kryptonite tie rod ends as well

Add a diff drop kit. Helps a lot with keeping the angles near stock. they’re only about $200. Helps save time and money in the long run, too. Look em up! Tuningsworld makes a decent kit!

@@thefidgetspinner2007 that's the 07.5. gm released most of their new pickups as half year modles at the time. So you could get the 2007 early style (my truck with the lbz) or a 2007.5 new modle (the style you're referring to, came with the lmm engine)
