Ihave questions for you...... I got an offer for this 2007 model car, stocked with livestock, only 70,000 kilos, for 9000 dollars. What do you think about it? Is it worth this money? Is the car practical, its engine and the gear is strong?

I've always loved Mercury cars. I was going to get the Mountaineer, but I was warned to stay away from them because of transmission and electrical problems. Same with the last Mercury Sable cars - I heard they were a complete disaster! From what I've heard and the customer reviews I've read, I'd be skeptical to purchase ANY Mercury vehicle that was manufactured after 2000 .... with the exception of the Grand Marquis.

we havent had a single problem with our 2004 mountaineer. had it since 22k miles now its over 130. i didnt know mercury had a bad rep for electronics

Seth Williams I have the 2007 MM and I've only had it 4 years... engine and transmission are about to go any minute now. First year I had to replace the radiator. 3rd year both wheel bearings. 4th year (current) mechanic told me around $10k in repairs! Not worth fixing.

I have had my mercury for about 8 years and it is such an amazing car I mean don't get me wrong it has broken down a couple times but just a couple times it was fixed easy nothing major but I would definitely recommend this to a friend it is a good car mines is reaching just about 250,00 miles I know a lot lol,but it still runs awesome

No need to worry, I'm sure whoever told you this info is incorrect. This Mercury Mountaineer, Mercury Milan, 2008-09 Mercury Sable, and of course the legendary Grand Marquis are all incredibly quality made and reliable vehicles.

My 1st car was a 2002 mountaineer. Ended up having to get the transmission rebuilt and it suffered alot of electrical problems but I still loved that thing. Might buy one again!
