Quite probably the best DIY presentation I have ever had the pleasure of watching. Outstanding!!!

Is remote works straight in after write by dump?

Im curious, why remove chip? Why have I seen some people just use the clip adapter and get the dump file "in circuit"
@mrgringo6859 Жыл бұрын
Great video, can the date be read on the board without desodering? Using a clip or mini prog would be a great option.

Hi i have one question when key lost u read just eeprom or have to read immo data too?
@AMC187uk10 ай бұрын
All keys lost is only eeprom also. I did one just now and the process is the same.
@Harry-ki9ho3 жыл бұрын
You can add a spare obd, eeprom only for all keys lost

Hi , can we work out a pin code from this Eeprom dump, thanks
@AutowaveLimited3 жыл бұрын
Yes we can, usually it will tell you when you load up the dump in VVDI2
@douggregory8872 жыл бұрын
could it be read in-circuit with VVDI mini prog?

Very good instruction lee. Have programmed these yrars ago with ad100 pro. When having one working key and had to go on adcanced diagnistics web site to obtain a 4 digit code from the vin number of vehicle. When there is no keys available then your eeprom method would be perfect. . Great to know.

Excellent. Are you the brute-forcing key by making it the "dealer key?" I'm convinced this key will have different VIN information stored on its PCF7946AT. Simpler would be to desolder, replace or use the new key. Although, your transponder programmer may have to pre-code. A lot of bad, uncoded Chinese keys floating around which won't work without that step. One last thought, any harm in reading the CIM chip without desoldering?
@AutowaveLimited3 жыл бұрын
Hi, this is not a "brute-force" method the immo data is stored on the EEPROM and that data is used to pre-code the key, the transponder ID is then also written to the eeprom file on the CIM. Unfortunately you are incorrectly convinced about the data on the PCF746AT. Our method is the most reliable and correct way in our opinion, however different people will have different methods. The remote we use is form www.autowave.co.uk and following this method they work absolutely fine. It is usually not about having "bad keys" it is usually the user does not know the method required by the key they have bought. Reading CIM chip with the correct tools in circuit have limited risk of damage. Thanks

Hello guys, been watching this video and a question popped into my head. Is this chip the only one that stores the information of the key fobs? Could they be swapped from one CIM to another to save the keys of a broken CIM for example? Keep up the good job!
@AutowaveLimited3 жыл бұрын
Yes this is the only chip that stores the data of the key fobs :)
@sorinpopa75733 жыл бұрын
@@AutowaveLimited I get it I am not the only one that thought of this :) Did you try the swap?
@andrewallerton18312 жыл бұрын
It takes 5 minutes with the correct tool and no dismantling.
@sorinpopa75732 жыл бұрын
@@andrewallerton1831 I assume you are referring to programming a spare key and for this I can agree it is fairly easy with the dedicated tool. As for what I was asking above (whether swapping the chip from a broken CIM module to a working one in order to preserve the old keys is working) I am not sure how you can do it without dismantling anything :)
